Your environment
Your VPD result
A VPD number is not good or bad by itself.
See leaf VPD and dew point
Calculated at full precision and rounded for display. This does not add accuracy to your sensors.
Understand your reading. See what to change. Know why.
Check whether your grow is inside the selected VPD range, then get a practical next step based on what you can control. Measured-leaf readings and optional crop-specific limits are available in Advanced settings.
Step 1 · Check your environment
Optional
Examples are illustrative, not measured readings or crop prescriptions.
Your environment
A VPD number is not good or bad by itself.
Calculated at full precision and rounded for display. This does not add accuracy to your sensors.
Tell us what you can actually control. We will translate the VPD result into a modeled next step.
Your next action
Leave conditions alone and keep monitoring. Remeasure after the environment stabilizes or if the plant response changes.
After any change: let conditions stabilize, then remeasure air temperature, RH and representative leaves. Actual equipment can change more than one variable at a time.
What-if scenario
Keep your original readings above. Enter a possible temperature and RH here to see the arithmetic without claiming your equipment can produce it.
Correct anything outside your chosen working limits first. If both changes fit, the calculator shows both. If neither works alone, it says so.
Use the result: measure representative conditions, compare inside your plan, change one thing deliberately, then remeasure after conditions stabilize.
eₛ(T) = 0.6108 × exp(17.27T ÷ (T + 237.3))
eₐ = eₛ(Tair) × RH ÷ 100
Air VPD = eₛ(Tair) − eₐ
Leaf VPD = eₛ(Tleaf) − eₐ
